WAN-Ifra is holding a tutorial for its International Newspaper Color Quality Club following the IfraExpo in Vienna.

The event – led by trainer Roland Thees – will inform about rules and standards applicable to membership of the club, established in 1994 and seen as a quality benchmark for the international newspaper printing industry.

WAN-Ifra says the cost of the tutorial – from 10am-4pm on October 13 – includes season expo admission and will be credited against the registration fee.

“The tutorial makes you familiar with all the rules and communicates the contents of the newspaper standard that is binding worldwide. You get a comprehensive insight into quality management methods and measuring techniques,” says project leader Thees, who is attached to the organisation’s newspaper production competence centre.

Participation in the competition for membership in the Color Quality Club is in principle open to all newspapers, independent of the production processes or types of paper that are used.
