Three PrintCity members are backing a heatset-orientated interactive training course in Germany next month.
The SUM-IT event – named for the initials of Sun Chemical, UPM and manroland – will take place in Augsburg, Germany, from November 22-23 and will focus on improving heatset print productivity. It will use the facilities of manroland and UPM plus trainers from all three companies.
The combined training session will include additional topic-specific modules covering temperature effects, climate and press settings, and cost 1190 Euros. Three ‘virtual classroom’ sessions before the seminar are included.
PrintCity says the SUM-IT seminars will focus on aspects of efficient web printing operations, including cross-process knowledge, press production and energy efficiency, emphasising the financial benefits to participating companies. Seminars will utilise experienced trainers from all three companies and will integrate theory, print simulator sessions and interactive classroom modules.
