AT’s backend key as French analytics company merges into Piano

New York-based Piano has expanded its platform for digital publishers with the acquisition of AT Internet, a 25-year-old analytics company based in France.

Piano chief executive Trevor Kaufman says the two companies will work to integrate their platforms while continuing offer standalone products.

Kaufman integration with AT Internet’s technology will enable Piano to provide a more comprehensive picture of customers, enabling businesses to personalise marketing and messaging.

AT Internet chief executive Mathieu Llorens will continue in the same role while becoming a “significant shareholder” in the combined organisation.

A statement said the transaction – on which figures were not disclosed – involves a mix of cash and equity and was funded by Updata Partners, Rittenhouse Ventures and Sixth Street Partners.
