SPH shines in 'best in print' awards
New Indian members of WAN-Ifra's International Color Quality Club were welcomed and standout production recognized at two ceremonies in Kolkata today.
There are now 30 Indian members of the group, which helps newspaper print sites achieve optimized and standardized production. At the World Printers Forum event during WAN-Ifra's India conference, new members were welcomed and a new handbook launched.
Earlier in the afternoon, the best in print awards - open to INCQC members and sponsored by manroland web systems - were presented.
The winners were:
Best in Print - circulation below 150,000 copies: gold- Lianhe Zaobao (Singapore Press Holdings, Singapore); silver- The National (United Printing and Publishing, Abu Dhabi); bronze- Berita Harian (Singapore Press Holdings).
Best in Print - circulation above 150,000 copies: gold- The Straits Times (Singapore Press Holdings); silver- Apple Daily (Apple Daily Printing, Hong Kong); bronze- The Shizuoka Shimbun (The Shizuoka Shimbun, Japan).
