A strategic partnership with semantic technology company Expert System will see the company's Cognito integrated into the web systems of vendor Atex.

Technology from Expert - described as a leader in multilingual cognitive computing technology for the effective management and exploitation of unstructured information -enriches online content with links and references to help readers navigate website contents. Editors gain functions such as semantic search, automatic tagging and categorisation to help them organise and repurpose content.

Expert senior account manager Bruno Bassi says the partnership will provide an opportunity to offer solutions to "manage the digital revolution and to be more competitive" to the international editorial market.

"With the integration of our semantic technology and the Atex platform, publishers can easily use the most innovative semantic technologies for information management, improving their processes and with more opportunities to monetise their assets."

Atex marketing director Gian Camillo Vezzoli says the availability of technologies that allow consolidation of all content-related workflows in a single platform and the need for tools to find and use assets led to the choice of Cogito.
