Caxton deploys self-service ad portal

South African newspaper and magazine publisher Caxton Media has tapped Bluefin Technology Partners to create a national classifieds and self-service ad portal.

Caxton will deploy the web and mobile platforms to support their more than 80 daily and weekly publications.

Digital head Richard Knowler says the web-hosted deployment will allow advertisers to place classified ads in multiple print and online publications, for print or online-only or a combination of the two and includes upsell features.

Caxton will also use Bluefin’s automated data feed manager to create a print to web” workflow to upload print classified and display listings online. The system is distributed by Johannesburg-based Qmedia.
