A further transition at manroland web systems sees the departure of Eckhard Hoerner-Marass after just 19 months.

In a brief statement, the company says Hoerner-Marass – spokesman of the management since the appointment of Joern Gossé to the executive board in January – now “leaves the company”.

Chief executive of parent company L. Possehl & Co Uwe Lueders (right) resumes his responsibilities, with Gossé in charge of the sales, service and marketing divisions.

The statement says Hoerner-Marass – who joined in September 2012 – “led the company group back to a profit zone within the second quarter of 2013 and against a weak market environment”.

Gossé (49) joined the company in January, sharing a “dual leadership” and effectively filling a gap left following the sudden departure last March of Peter Kuisle after 25 years with the company and its pre-reorganisation predecessor.

Gossé (left) had spent 25 years with sheetfed press maker Heidelberg, joining it as a graduate engineer in 1988. He later managed several of the company’s German plants, also gaining international sales and service experience. In 2005, he was appointed managing director of Heidelberg’s northern region, based in Hamburg, responsible for sales, service and finance with 130 employees.
