First Sydney media innovation tour is ‘behind closed doors’

Senior media executives are being invited to Sydney for a ‘closed-door, working-level’ exchange focussed on how media groups are responding to current pressures.

WAN-Ifra’s first Sydney media innovation tour is being organised out of its Singapore office, and led by Jen Teo and Lee Kah Whye. Designed for news media publishing professionals only, is it not open to vendors, technology providers, consultancies, agencies or tourism and destination organisations.

“This is not a conference, and there will be no stage presentations or pitch decks,” they say.

The focus will be around four shifts most media leaders are responding to, and “what is actually being done, not discussed”. The topics are revenue models under structural pressure, platform dependency and distribution control, AI moving from experimentation into daily workflows, and the rise of creator-led media ecosystems.

Places are limited, and those interested are invited to get in touch to secure a place. More details here.

The fee for participation is yet to be announced, and will include four nights accommodation, daily breakfast and lunches, three hosted dinners and local transportation.
