German mailroom equipment manufacturer Mosca has opened a new production facility in Ulu Tiram, Malaysia.

An official opening by the German ambassador to Malaysia, Peter Blomeyer, was attended by group chief executives Timo Mosca, Simone Mosca and Alfred Kugler, as well as MGM director Witold Nowak, and Jan Noether of the German-Malaysian Chamber of Commerce.

Second generation group chief Timo Mosca says he is convinced that Mosca “not only manufactures products, but also shapes a future for customers, employees and the community”.

He said Malaysia had already been a strategic milestone on the path to internationalisation for the family business. “With today's opening of our new production facility, we are building on this history – and sending a strong signal for sustainable growth, partnership-based cooperation and entrepreneurial vision across borders,” he added.

Mosca has prioritised recruitment of Malaysian talent at all levels, with special attention given to individuals with limited educational opportunities in Johor. Employees have the opportunity for continuous professional development and many of them receive training at the headquarters in Germany.
