Lineup Systems has appointed Chris Spalding its global chief operating officer as part of a period chief executive Michael Mendoza describes as "exciting growth".

Spalding has more than 30 years of operational, management and sales experience at major brands including Virgin Group, PepsiCo, Associated Newspapers and Metro International.

Mendoza says the company's growth in staff numbers, project implementations and new client offerings requires robust planning, management and resourcing: "Chris Spalding has the ideal management expertise to help us continue our growth sustainably," he says.

Mendoza says Lineup has also added to its customer support, programmatic, operations, deployment and sales teams in North America and Europe. "Against a general trend of ad tech vendors downsizing, Lineup is actively recruiting and continues to post open roles," he says. "Since January 2015 we have increased global staff by more than 58 per cent and continue to be the world's fastest growing advertising sales platform for print, digital and broadcast media companies."
