Web printing awards were evenly shared in this year’s Australian NPA competition, the first held in a new ‘best of the best’ format. Finalists came from the winners of regional awards including the Printing Industry Craftsmanship Awards held by state Printing Industries associations. While PMP Print, Hannanprint Victoria and Cadillac Printing each collected more than one medal, none had more than one gold. Of the total of 82 awards presented, 28 were gold, 29 silver and 25 bronze. In the keen interstate competition, Victoria led the table with 20 medals, of which 11 were gold. The presentations were made at a gala dinner at Melbourne’s Palladium Ballroom on Crown on the penultimate day of the PacPrint09 trade show, attended by 800 people.
