A new Goss M-500 heatset press for Consolidated graphics site the Cyril-Scott Company will include I-Web inline finishing facilities including digital imprinting and UV.

I-Web says the full I-Nfinity Servo finishing system will be one of the largest and most flexible inline finishing systems in the world.

It will have double-sided variable imaging and UV application along with six complete finishing cells.

Cyril-Scott in Lancaster, Ohio, was one of the first printers in the US to specialise in web offset production with inline finishing. The new Goss and I-Web combination joins a line-up of 13 heatset webs at the site.

"We have always invested in technology that gives our customers the most unique and effective production options," president Matt Coltharp says. "The new installation reflects this commitment."

Goss International will equip the M-500 press with Omnicon controls and an Ecocool dryer with integrated chill rolls.  The system will feature a 965 mm web width and include closed-loop color and register controls, a sheeter and the inline finishing capabilities. The press will be manufactured in the US.

Consolidated Graphics, headquartered in Houston, Texas, owns 70 printing businesses across 27 states, Toronto and Prague, and has a presence in Asia.

Based in Avon, Massachusetts, I-Web has recently expanded its manufacturing base with new CNC machining centres and engineering solid modelling software. Equipment has been re-engineered and incorporates ‘state of the art’ servo technology.
