Australia’s National Print Awards will become a ‘best of the best’ competition among top state winners under new rules announced in June. Chairman of the 26th awards Scott Telfer says this will mean entry will only be via local competitions with only the gold medal entries going forward. Some deadlines have been brought forward and Telfer says entrants need to act quickly. Dates of the local PICA presentations are: Tasmania Aug 9; SA/NT Aug 22, WA Aug 23, Victoria Oct 17, NSW (PrintNSW Excellence awards) Oct 10, ACT Page awards Nov 7, and Queensland Nov 28.
