A new release of its newspaper workflow software opens new cloud options for ECO3 users while adding third-party functionality.

Updates to the former Agfa company’s Arkitex workflow solution allow newspaper operations of all sizes to move to the cloud, leveraging its multi-tenant capabilities. Smaller operations can move to an external server, reducing in-house requirements.

Global head of software Andy Grant says the company continues to invest heavily in developing newspaper workflow solutions, “particularly to fine-tune the whole Arkitex family in response to new market demands and challenges”.

Arkitex Production 6.0 also adds full integration with third-party authentication services commonly used in the newspaper industry for single sign-on.

Additionally, the portal for external customers and Courier page transmission solution have been migrated into Arkitex Production.

“As ECO3, we are reiterating our unwavering commitment to the newspaper industry with the latest release,” says Grant.

A new version of ECO3’s Apogee StoreFront web-to-print solution has also been released, including new security and approval features.
