Finnish newspaper printer Suomalainen Lehtipaino is using Flowman’s ePaper addition to its Virtual Front Desk – based on ‘software as a service’ technology – to ensure its ePaper editions are up-to-date. Development manager Tenna Talvi-Pietarila says it already receives and manages different page versions: “Now we just take care that the latest version will be published on the internet.” Facilities can also include micropayment mechanisms or integrated access privileges in existing subscription management systems. Based in Oulu – known as the silicon valley of Finland – Flowman focuses on streamlining business processes in the print media industry, combining automation and software practices from different industry sectors with a prepress production background.
