Digital print show falls victim to pandemic

Hunkeler Innovationdays, previously one of the defining events of digital printing, has been postponed until 2023.

Company president Stefan Hunkeler says the one-year postponent followed “the unclear development of the corona pandemic” and in close consultation with the largest exhibitors and partners.

"Our goal is to hold a successful event,” he said. “Rules and regulations around the pandemic are dynamic and, continue to make international passenger travel difficult. Additionally some exhibitors are confronted with supply chain problems, which make it even more difficult to hold such an event".

Innovationdays had been almost fully booked by exhibitors with demand to participate reported to be increasing.

With the event postponed to February 2023, stand bookings will remain in place.

Hunkeler had planned to celebrate its 100th anniversary at the Innovationdays, “but safety comes first,” he says.

The rescheduled date is now February 27 to March 2, 2023 in Lucerne, Switzerland. The focus will again be automation.
