A longstanding relationship will come to an end this year when production of Seven West Media's Pacific Magazines titles switches to Australia's Ive Group.

The two have signed a four-year agreement which will see the entire stable of regular mastheads move from PMP to Ive units Blue Star Web and Franklin Web.

Most of the titles will move from mid October 2017, with New Idea and Better Homes & Garden making the switch in January 2018.

Acquired by Kerry Stokes' Seven West in 2002, Pacific was originally a stablemate of PMP which, as Pacific Magazines & Printing, was spun off from News Limited in 1991.

Ive is currently building a new heatset plant for Franklin Web - which it acquired last year - based on the former Sharp factory in Huntingwood in western Sydney. A $40 million investment programme includes two new manroland presses for Franklin and Blue Star sites in the city.
