Bangalore calls time for a conveyor upgrade

Deccan Herald publisher The Printers (Mysore) is renewing a longstanding relationship with an order to update its mailroom system.

The Bangalore, India, print site is replacing a 19-years-old Ferag conveyor and stacker system with a new Ferag system.

Installation of new UTR conveyor with HPS stackers - replacing the current TTR/ABL combination - starts early next year, and will be scheduled so that production is not affected. The system is connected to a single-folder KBA Colora press.

Established in 1948, the Deccan Herald focuses on the people of Karnataka, now with multiple editions and supplements.

Ferag sales director Marcel Binder says staff at the site have done an extremely good job in maintenance and operation to achieve such a long lifetime for the equipment: "Ferag is extremely pleased to renew the long lasting relationship with The Printers (Mysore)," he says.
