Mailroom systems manufacturer Gämmerler signed an order with German second-generation family printing business B&K Offsetdruck during DRUPA.

The company has the capacity to print more than five million 16-page products a day has followed an order for a KBA C16 heatset press with a complete postpress line.

This consists of Gämmerler's conveyor connection with infeed station, trimmer, Liftpack compensating stacker, robot PR 460 with servo gripper, and 'higher level' control system G-Connect.

An existing customer, B&K were particularly attracted by the robot handling with its servo gripper and the separate slip sheet feeder, its high speed a "deciding factor," according to managing director and owner Jörn Kalbhenn.

Installation is scheduled for the first quarter of 2017.
