AZ Medien subsidiary Vogt-Schild Druck will install a new manroland Rotoman DirectDrive 16-page web next year.

The Swiss company signed an order during DRUPA last week, with the press scheduled to go into production in the middle of 2017.

Managing director Rolf Steiner says Vogt-Schild Druck creates industrial products of the highest quality: "Because we have been able to continuously expand our market presence over the last years, we have now decided to make further investments, in order to stay at the top of the Swiss printing house sector.

"We will be able to optimally position ourselves in the highly competitive print market and provide our customers with further benefits and even more quality, with the new highly automated and extremely flexible production system."

The press will comprise five units, equipping it for both fully automated version and signature changes thanks to a DynaChange function, as well as for finishing options such as coating or special colours. Manroland's inline control systems will handle cut-off and ink register and ink density control.
