Vizrt hosts seminars and 'fjord-induced networking'

Bergen in Norway is the venue for this year's Vizrt Days event, promising two days of seminars, workshops, and fjord-induced networking for broadcasters and media houses.

The programme - from June 15-16 - includes a social event and dinner at the end of the first day as well as the conference sessions.

Among topics is one about using AR as a storytelling tool, presented by Jeremy Jones and John Menzies from The Weather Channel, and another on viewer engagement and live productions from NFL Networks real-time systems manager Patrick Lee.

Other confirmed presentations include:

Howard Lukk, director of engineering and standards at SMPTE on HDR production;

Anthony Rose, CEO, 6Tribes, on The next TV platform: Open, personal and not just on your TV;

Eirik Solheim and Marius Arnesen of NRK Beta, Virtual Reality: From documentary to porn;

Thomas Mattsson, Editor-in-Chief of Expressen on The journalist at the centre of online production;

Geir Jordet, Professor, Norwegian School of Sports Sciences on Psychology of the soccer penalty shootout: What can we learn about preventing choking under pressure;

Fadi Radi, Head of Graphics, Middle East Broadcasting Corp. (MBC) on Improving digital media workflows; and

Kevin Lilly, President, Lilly Broadcasting on Exploring the operational efficiencies.
