Goss focusses on partners, products - Goss International will share a focus on partnerships, affirming that partnering with like-minded, market-leading suppliers and printers will be the key to future industry success. Under the theme 'Achieving more together' Goss will demonstrate how bringing complementary brands and solutions together is the most logical way to support Goss customers and prospects considering investments in new products and services.
The company will highlight its commercial, newspaper and packaging press portfolio, for which these partnerships also provide great value and added benefits for new and existing customers.
Showcased via interactive digital communications will be a product range which includes the Magnum Compact press for short to medium-run book, newspaper and semicommercial applications, flexible M600 and Sunday commercial web presses, and Sunday Vpak packaging press.
The latest Contiweb technologies - now extended to include digital web printing through an affiliation with HP - will be shown, with digital unwinders and rewinders running on several third-party stands. On the Goss stand, Contiweb JetWeb finishing and VITS-Rotocut sheeting and finishing will be a focus.
Chief executive Mohit Uberoi says Goss has a long history of working with different suppliers: "When installing or enhancing our customers' presses, or developing a hybrid solution that incorporates a variety of technologies, we work with other industry leaders for colour control, ink, dampening, blanket washers, chilling, CTP and customer MIS interfaces.
"We embrace partnering with these manufacturers so that our customers can maintain their existing supplier relationships and get the best possible solution for their print facility," he says.
QuadTech: New products, learning - QuadTech will launch a new colour-to-colour register product for newspaper printers at DRUPA, and plans a series of seminars during the show's run.
The newspaper product - which promises simplified operation and a high quality, low-cost solution - comes alongside new colour quality and colour measurement products for packaging and converting.
President Karl Fritchen says the company has invested heavily in raising the bar for functionality, efficiency and reliability: "We can't wait to unveil these exciting new additions to our stable of proven products."

Xeikon: Liquid-toner digital - After a 'technology demonstration' in 2012, Xeikon will launch its liquid-toner Trillium press at DRUPA, its first major show since it was acquired by Flint Group.
This is a four-colour press is capable of running at 60 meters per minute at 1200 dpi, and with a print width of 500 mm.
The Tonnik liquid toner is a Xeikon development, said to combine cost-effectiveness, high quality and speed for a segment covering direct marketing and catalogues.
