Following the appointment of Winfried Schaur as UPM Paper's Europe and North America executive vice president, Anu Ahola has been named appointed senior vice president for newspaper publishing.

Ahola currently has a similar role for strategy and energy in the region. She joined UPM in 2007 and has been in her current role since 2013.

She reports to Schaur, whose appointment was announced at the beginning of February.

Schaur moved up from the newspaper publishing role to take executive responsibiluty and join the group executive team.

He has been a member of WAN-Ifra's World Printers Forum board since January 2015.
