Fujifilm's new Superia plate system has been launched in Australia following trials.
The range includes processless and processed thermal plates and chemistry supported by low energy-use hardware, XMF workflow and hybrid screening.
Graphic systems general manager Lindsay Barnes says each can contribute to more stable quality, improved productivity and cost reductions.
The five key savings are in materials use, labour, energy, emissions and water use. A ZAC low-chemistry system that monitors plate developer needs is already in use at some general and web printing sites.
Fujifilm says prepress products that make contributions towards the Superia philosophy will bear the Superia brand name, has readopted from the film range it used more than ten years ago.
