If media convergence means cooperatioin between Australian free-to-air TV personalities Larry Emdur and Gorgi Quill, it will be in evidence at this year’s National Print Awards dinner in Melbourne. Emdur, from Channel 7’s Morning Show, and Quill (left) from the Today Show on Channel 9 will co-host the 26th awards presentations, this year a ‘best of the best’ contest among winners of regional awards. The gala event is at the Palladium at Crown in Melbourne on Friday 29 May, 2009. Categories include web-offset and newspaper printing. NPA chairman Scott Telfer promises a night to remember: “We are delighted to have secured Larry and Gorgi, both of whom are exceptional talents and entertaining hosts. “Together with the other exciting entertainment highlights, I can guarantee that the celebration will be a night not to be missed,” he says. The dinner mark the culmination of the NPA competition and is also a highlight of PacPrint 09, being held in Melbourne during the same week. Work from finalists will on show at the exhibition, across the road at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 26-30. Tickets for the dinner are available from the NPA website at www.nationalprintawards.com.au or Lynne Trensky at Printing Industries on (03) 8541-7360.
