Keynote speakers for the series of forums PacPrint09 will include Professor Neville Norman, Dr Peter Ellyard and David Parkin.
The forums at PrintEx07 – moderated by Jennie Brockie and including a contribution from Fairfax Digital’s Mike van Niekerk – were a highlight of the Sydney show’s run.
The keynote addresses will be supported by panels of industry specialists. The topics will be:
May 27 (Wednesday) – Visions for the Future – a look at the economic and business climate, future directions and opportunities.
May 28 (Thursday) – The Environment – future strategies in response to climate change and the environment
May 29 (Friday) – Future Leadership – the making and motivating of leaders for the future
Alastair Hadley, PacPrint 09 chairman, says the more general topics will allow a broader approach and more scope for attendees to explore their response to these key areas.
“The topics are very pertinent in today’s challenging marketplace and have been identified through recent Printing Industries’ market research as areas of key importance to virtually all facets of the industry,” he says.
“Information received from hundreds of businesses across Australia clearly identified these as the ‘big issues’ confronting businesses across the entire spectrum of the graphic arts here in Australia.
“The sessions will follow a similar format to the highly successful series at PrintEx. Each will feature a keynote address by an internationally recognised expert in the field, supported by industry experts as forum panelists who will be able to discuss the specific relevance of the area and issues raised to the graphic arts,” he says.
Confirmation of the speakers for the forum series, which is to be moderated by respected broadcaster, journalist, lawyer and businesswoman Elaine Canty, is expected shortly, while forum panelists for each session are being identified.
