Inline controls make hard jobs easier

After upgrading two of its heatset webs, Adam NG in Bruchsal, Germany, has contracted manroland web systems to install inline controls.

The project means that Adam will have replaced the entire control infrastructure of two existing presses. Control hardware and software of the Lithoman and Rotoman presses have been updated as well as the folder controls on the Lithoman, and Pecom PressManager has been replaced by manroland's newest systems.

The latest upgrade will see third party control systems on the Lithoman replaced, delivering ink density, colour and cut-off register, networked into Pecom-X, installed in April. manroland's IDCm density control uses traversing measuring modules which it says, cost less and have proven measuring quality and accuracy. Adam will also have access to the 24/7 TeleSupport hotline.

The family-owned Bruchsal web-offset printer has a reputation for taking on complicated jobs. "The greatest benefits result from the reduced waste rates and, at the same, time higher quality", says technical director Paul Haas.
