After using their kit for ISO 12647 certification and other work, David Crowther's Colour Graphic Services has been appointed Techkon's ANZ dealer.

The German company makes a variety of colour measurement instruments, including a new 'three-in-one' colour densitometer which combines reflection and transmission measurement with an illuminated magnifier.

Other products include a wheeled spectrophotometer for measuring colour control bars -≠ with a USB connection to transfer data - and a plate reader which measures all types of screening on plate, film and paper.

Other offerings include a motorised spectro-densitometer for reading page-wide strips and an inline spectrophotometer for on-press web quality control at up to five metres/second. Upcoming is a new smartphone app which enables colour to be captured, matched and specified in CIE Lab and sRGB values.

Crowther is travelling to Techkon's headquarters next month for technical and product training. "It is a privilege to be working closely with a company that shares my passion for colour accuracy at every stage of production," he says.
