A two-tower KBA Colora at regional daily Die Glocke will have control and automation systems refitted.

EAE says German publisher E. Holterdorf has ordered a comprehensive retrofit with the addition of technology from sister company QI Press Controls. Installed in the small town of Oelde in 1996, the press has EAE controls to which the company's EAE Print planning and pre-set system was added in 2009.

Control consoles, planning and logging systems and the complete web press control, drive controls for towers, reelstands and infeeds will be modernised and QI will install its IDS-3D colour control, register, fan-out and dampening controls.

The retrofit is part of a major investment programme under which mailroom equipment is also being replaced.
