QuadTech has appointed an international sales manager to oversee all territories except the Americas.

Chuck Irons brings more than  33 years of printing industry experience to the new  role, having previously worked for  Contiweb, Heidelberg, and Goss.

The company is still undated to be seeking a replacement for Plunkett & Johnson, after the Australia/NZ agency went into voluntary administration earlier this year. President Karl Fritchen says it has appointed "six new agents" worldwide, and would be making announcement shortly.

He says Irons' extensive experience complements the team already  in place in Europe and Asia. "His strengths as a networker and team player will help to keep us focussed on the growth opportunities we have identified,” he says.

Irons says he is "very familiar" with the role QuadTech has played in driving the industry forward, standardising quality, and making print more profitable. "I was drawn to the company by their global reach, and by their strong commitment to innovation," he says
