Former sales manager at ppi Media Christian Finder will concentrate on international and southeast Asia sales following the appointment of a replacement.
Hauke Berndt moves to the sales manager role after a ten-year career with the company in various positions.
A graduate in meteorology, he joined the company as a project manager, moving on to key account manager in customer consulting. In 2008 he switched to the sales department.
In his new position he is responsible for marketing software solutions for the publishing industry and for activating the corporate publishing target group.
“Even while I was studying meteorology, it was important to develop innovative solutions for the constantly changing tasks we were faced with,” he says. “The IT industry is no different. Understanding complex systems and recognising correlations are a prerequisite for a successful approach in an ever-changing environment.”
He says a number of publishing companies are battling with a sharp downturn in subscriber and circulation figures and, in some cases, a drastic decrease in revenue from ad sales. “Consolidation measures and activities in the online and mobile sector can only partly compensate for this. Only those who succeed in improving their content and in publishing it on all channels will also succeed in today’s changed market conditions in the long term.”
Apart from marketing the classic solutions, Berndt is keen to set new standards in corporate publishing with ppi Media’s multimedia solutions.
