Kenneth Hansen, chief executive of manroland North East Asia has been named to succeed Job van Hasselt as chief executive of manroland South East Asia.
He takes over both positions – North East Asia including Japan, Korea and South East Asia with major markets in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore – in a restructure following the sales subsidiaries’ acquisition by Langley Holdings. The appointment was effective from March 1.
Hansen has 35 years’ top management experience in Asia, and steered manroland’s Japan and Korea operations through challenges including last year’s Fukushima nuclear disaster.
“With the long track record in manroland, I am fully confident in leveraging the success experience from North East Asia to South East Asia,” he says in a message to customers.
He thanked Job van Hasselt for his leadership and contribution to manroland South East Asia over more than three years.
“Good practices” which proved effective and efficient in delivering products and services to South East Asia customers will be continued, but Hansen says, “we will move forward in new directions which would ultimately benefit our customers in South East Asia and North East Asia in the long run.
“With the well- thought decision of streamlined and centralised management, which will smooth the internal and external communication, we will further strengthen our resolute and long-term commitment to the printing industry in South East Asia and North East Asia by providing our strong and professional support for the customers in the region.”
He says the reborn manroland is committed to providing more competitive products and services for the customers in the region “in a more flexible and efficient way.
“We are committed to being your most reliable business partner and extending our advanced technological support to your business success,” he says.
