Co-founder and managing director of Australian software distributor Creative Folks Matthew Green is leaving the company to “look for other challenges”. Last year he oversaw the sale of its consumable division to Digital Graphic Supplies and coordinated a move of to Alexandria.

“After almost 11 years at the helm of the business, from its humble beginnings as a division of Folks Graphics to a proprietary limited company in its own right, I have decided to it is time to move on,” he says.

Green told GXpress he was negotiating the sale of his share of the business, but had no immediate idea of what he would do next, “except that publishing and printing is all I’ve done”.

Paying tribute to him, fellow director and co-founder Andrew Lomas says his contribution to the success of the business had been invaluable: “He leaves us in a strong financial position and a clearly defined growth path,” he says.

Green was general manager of Folks Graphics when Creative Folks was established in 2001. As one of the original four Epson Professional Graphics colour experts in Australia, he helped pioneer the introduction of inkjet printers as proofing devices, and was also largely responsible for introducing the WoodWing Enterprise publishing platform to publishers across Australia and New Zealand.
