A partnership between DTI distribution and digital mapping specialist Dimaps will lead to enhanced distribution solutions for newspaper publishers.

DTI chief operating officer Mary Olson says the agreement will benefit the 1000 users of DTI’s circulation management system around the world.

Among users are News Limited in Australia, DC Thomson (Scotland), HSS Media (Finland), Transcontinental (Canada) and Cox Media (USA).  Dimaps slates as customers the Icelandic Postal Service as well many of the leading publishers and distributors in its native Denmark.

Dimaps chief executive Boris Henriksen says he is delighted with the partnership: “This agreement will enable us to reach a worldwide audience for our industry-leading niche products.”

Dimaps’ interactive geographic tools and location intelligence technology help publishers and distributors plan and optimise routes, reducing distribution costs. The software will also optimise truck deliveries as well as consolidate newspaper, magazine and parcel deliveries.
