Changed Ferag brings post-merger strengths to DRUPA

DRUPA which opens in Düsseldorf this month will the place to meet “new faces” and learn of new opportunities following recent changes at mailroom supplier Ferag.

The Swiss company – which now emphasizes “logistics and packaging solutions” announced a merger with MakroSolutions in January, which it says will bring additional expertise and resources in automation, robotics and digitized processes.

Ferag has a new managing director for its graphics group, Gideon Martz, who says the merger will bring a broader portfolio and strengthen its ability to meet customer needs.

Group chief executive Tommaso Ramundo said at the time that joining forces with MakroSolutions would mean they could offer customers “even greater added value by further expanding solutions and service excellence”.

As part of this merger, Matthias Höwer has been named as new managing director intralogistics for central and eastern Europe, to which he brings more than ten years’ experience in intralogistics, including implementations in industry, production, retail and e-commerce.

Ferag says the merger represents “a massive and significant investment in future-proofing solutions within the graphics industry”.

Ferag also announced its acquisition of Sydney-based warehouse automation software developer dereOida ­– last September.
