How technotrans is learning to live without print

Print peripherals provider technotrans – whose customers in the news industry are mostly engaged in print – has received an award for cutting out the process.

A ‘digital only concept’ at the group’s headquarters in Sassenberg has won the digital business processes category in the local Warendorf district (pictured).

Using GDS’ Easybrowse content delivery portal, it has “almost completely dispensed with printed documentations,” according to a press release.

technotrans says it saves 1.3 million sheets of paper printed on both sides and thus more than 200,000 Euros in costs every year… and that's just at the headquarters.

The company says customers also benefit from quick and easy access to documents.

“For us, sustainability and digitisation go hand in hand,” says management board spokesman Michael Finger. “The consistent switch to digital processes is one of the key prerequisites for achieving our sustainability goals and fulfilling our ecological responsibility,” he says.
